Potomac Appliance Repair provides residential appliance diagnostic and repair services for washers, dryers, refrigerators, ovens, stoves, dishwashers, microwaves, and garbage disposals throughout Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC. By booking a service with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Diagnostic Visit & Service Fee
Every service begins with a diagnostic visit. Our certified technician will come to your home, inspect your appliance, identify the problem, and give you a clear upfront estimate before any repair work begins.
A service fee applies to every diagnostic visit, regardless of whether you choose to proceed with the repair. This fee covers the technician’s time, travel, and professional assessment. The service fee will be communicated to you at the time of booking.
Estimates & Pricing
All repair estimates are provided upfront and clearly explained before any work begins. You are never obligated to proceed with the repair after receiving your estimate. Final pricing may only change if additional issues are discovered during the repair in which case we will always inform you and get your approval before continuing. We do not charge hidden fees or surprise costs.
Payment is due upon completion of the repair.
Warranty
We stand behind our work. Our warranty terms are as follows:
Labor only warranty — 30 days: If we diagnose and repair your appliance without replacing any parts, our labor is covered by a 30-day warranty. If the same issue returns within 30 days of the repair, we will come back and fix it at no additional labor charge.
Parts & labor warranty — 90 days: If we replace a part during the repair, both the part and the labor are covered by a 90-day (3-month) warranty. If the replaced part fails or the same issue returns within 90 days, we will return and repair it at no additional cost to you.
The warranty covers only the specific issue that was repaired. It does not cover unrelated failures, new problems, or damage caused by misuse, power surges, or failure to follow manufacturer guidelines.
Scheduling & Cancellations
We offer same-day diagnostic visits for calls received before 12:00 PM (noon), subject to availability. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact us as early as possible. Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee.
Customer Responsibilities
By scheduling a service, you agree to:
- Ensure safe and reasonable access to the appliance at the scheduled appointment time
- Inform us of any known hazards or conditions at the property
- Provide accurate information about the appliance and the issue when booking
- Be present or have an authorized adult present during the visit
Privacy
We collect your name, phone number, email address, and service address solely to provide repair services and communicate with you about your appointment. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties.
